The Calvary Christian Spartans won the last time they faced Milford Christian, and things went their way on Saturday too. Calvary Christian walked away with a 47-40 victory over Milford Christian. The victory was all the more spectacular given Calvary Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Milford Christian is ranked 241st).
Wyatt Schlatter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 steals. He set a new season high mark in assists with six. The team also got some help courtesy of Philip Davie, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Calvary Christian and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Milford Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Dominion Academy the next time they take the court. Calvary Christian will host Dominion Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while Milford Christian will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
