Softball Recap: Central Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Central won the last time they faced Lebanon and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Central pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lebanon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will challenge South Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lebanon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saxons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.84 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
