Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the La Salle Lancers walked away with it. They blew past the Roadrunners, posting a 76-29 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for La Salle as they're now sitting on three straight.
La Salle was led to victory by Emmitt Claiborne and Ryan Hajjar. Claiborne scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Hajjar scored 20 points along with five steals. Hajjar has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Anthony Gibbs was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
La Salle pushed their record up to 17-11 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Loma Linda Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-15.
La Salle will head out on the road to square off against Cabrillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Salle has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 445 points over their last seven games. Loma Linda Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
