The Tri-State Christian Crusaders won the last time they faced the Aquinas Academy Crusaders, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Tri-State Christian strolled past Aquinas Academy with points to spare, taking the game 68-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tri-State Christian.
Tri-State Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Falko, who scored 14 points along with five assists. The contest was Falko's 18th in a row with at least ten points. Gary Slagle was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Tri-State Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Aquinas Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-State Christian will square off against Bohemia Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bohemia Manor will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Tri-State Christian is ranked 62nd). As for Aquinas Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenwood Mennonite at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Greenwood Mennonite's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Aquinas Academy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
