When it comes to explaining why Highlands Ranch lost, one person who can't be blamed is Payton TerEick. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. Zane El Bassuni was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 3 steals and 3 blocks.
The victory got Fairview back to even at 1-1. As for Highlands Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
