Erie has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Sedan Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Erie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Erie was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 29-28 to Jayhawk Linn.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alexandra Pasquarelli, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinzie Cleaver, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Sedan can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Cedar Vale/Dexter with a 41-36 victory.
Erie's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Sedan, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Erie didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Sedan in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 45-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Erie since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
