Highline scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 81-21 victory over Tyee at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Highline has managed all season.
Marquawn Mccraney and Corey Crosby were among the main playmakers for Highline as the former scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Jailyn Chavers was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Sammamish waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Foster 80-45 at home. That looming 80-45 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sammamish yet this season.
Sammamish's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Boddie, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rakin Showki, who scored 15 points.
Highline's record now sits at 6-10. As for Sammamish, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Highline hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 56.5 points per game. It's a different story for Sammamish, though, as they've been averaging only 66.4 points per game. The only thing between Highline and another offensive beatdown is Sammamish.
