The Macomb Bombers will head out to  square off against the Illini Bluffs Tigers  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Macomb comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Macomb fell victim to Quincy and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They came up short against  the Blue Devils, falling  11-0. That's two games in a row now that the Bombers have lost by  exactly 11  runs.
 Macomb saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Emmett Beck, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  stolen base.
Meanwhile, Illini Bluffs gave up the first  runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They walked away with  a   14-9  victory over Deer Creek-Mackinaw. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.
  Brendan Bacon was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March of 2024.  Cole McCoy also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 Macomb's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Illini Bluffs, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
