Troy is 2-8 against the Kubs since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Troy Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Kamiah Kubs at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Troy suffered a tough 80-55 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Troy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Wildcats are ranked 11th).
Meanwhile, Kamiah scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past Logos with points to spare, taking the game 69-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kamiah.
Troy's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Kamiah, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Troy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-42 loss to the Kubs in their previous meeting back in January. Can Troy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
