The Cedar Key Sharks will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Countryside Christian Minutemen at 7:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses for Cedar Key and three for Countryside Christian.
Cedar Key suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 last Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 52-30 walloping at the hands of Meadowbrook Academy.
Meanwhile, Countryside Christian had to suffer through a rough 73-36 loss at the hands of Saint Francis Catholic. Countryside Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-20.
Cedar Key's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Countryside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Cedar Key came up short against Countryside Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 45-40. Can Cedar Key avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
