This season hasn't been kind to the Wortham Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 15th match. They took a serious blow against Dawson on Friday, falling 44-7. Wortham has struggled against Dawson recently, as their matchup on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Dawson can attribute much of their success to Callie Marberry, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Marberry has scored all season. Joselynn Wilson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine steals.
Wortham's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-15. As for Dawson, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Wortham will head out on the road to square off against Mart at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mart is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Dawson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hubbard at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
