The Ridgewood Rebels entered their tilt with the Elmwood Park Tigers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Ridgewood breezed by the Tigers on the road to the tune of 72-39 on Friday. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for Ridgewood this season.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua Ruiz, who scored 14 points. That was a full 35.9% of Elmwood Park's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jordyn Boatman was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Ridgewood's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Elmwood Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Ridgewood will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elmwood Park, they will head out on the road to face off against the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
