The Point Arena Pirates on the road again on Saturday and play against the Mendocino Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Point Arena knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Mendocino likes a good challenge.

Meanwhile, Mendocino came up short against Rio Lindo Adventist on Thursday and fell 56-48.
Point Arena's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.2 points per game. As for Mendocino, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Point Arena strolled past Mendocino in their previous matchup on January 9th by a score of 65-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Point Arena since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
