Hunterdon Central is 9-1 against North Hunterdon since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Hunterdon Central Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the North Hunterdon Lions at 3:00 p.m.
On Thursday, Hunterdon Central came up short against Hillsborough and fell 47-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hunterdon Central has scored all season.
Meanwhile, North Hunterdon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They snuck past Somerville with a 46-42 victory.
Hunterdon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for North Hunterdon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Hunterdon Central against North Hunterdon in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the squad secured a 50-22 win. Will Hunterdon Central repeat their success, or does North Hunterdon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
