The Fairborn Skyhawks lost to the Piqua Indians back in February, but the Fairborn Skyhawks didn't allow the Piqua Indians the same satisfaction on Friday. Fairborn walked away with a 56-47 win over Piqua.
Despite the loss, Piqua still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Martin, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Weber, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Piqua were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The win got Fairborn back to even at 2-2. As for Piqua, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Fairborn will be home for the holidays to greet Sidney at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sidney is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Piqua won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tecumseh at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. Tecumseh comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
