The Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past Pueblo West with a 60-56 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Fountain-Fort Carson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyshawn Miller out in front who scored 21 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jovan Martinez, who scored 8 points.
The win got Fountain-Fort Carson back to even at 1-1. As for Pueblo West, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Fountain-Fort Carson will play host again and welcome Far Northeast W, where tip off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Far Northeast W focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. Pueblo West will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
