Wootton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaiden Aze, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Taj Smith was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Wootton's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Wootton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Landstown at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. Landstown has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Freedom, they will be playing at home against Woodbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodbridge and Freedom are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
