Coral Reef had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the South Miami Cobras 54-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Barracudas, who have now won eight contests in a row dating back to last season.
Sebastian Reglado had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 95 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. Another rusher making a difference was Amari Germain, who rushed for 61 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Coral Reef was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Miami only rushed for ten rushing yards.
Coral Reef didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Dupree and Javier Peralta. Dupree got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
