For Gila Bend, this counts as revenge for the 54-45 loss Skyview walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Skyview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trevion Rude. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 44 points and 15 rebounds. Rude scored a full 81.5% of Skyview's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Gila Bend now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Skyview, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.
Gila Bend will be playing in front of their home fans against Tohono O'Odham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyview, they will head out on the road to face off against A+ Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
