Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hawley). They put the hurt on the Haskell Indians with a sharp 15-3 victory on Friday. The Bearcats not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 28th.
Keegan Ables was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Ables was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Aiden Romo was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jake Bristow, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Hawley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Hawley's win bumped their record up to 8-5-2. As for Haskell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1.
