The Ballard Memorial Bombers pushed their score all the way to 68 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 77-68 to Charleston. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (64), Ballard Memorial still had to take the loss.
Charleston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ko'terrion Owens out in front who scored 18 points along with six assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Owen Willis, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Ballard Memorial's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Charleston, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.
Ballard Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Blazers at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. One thing working in University Heights' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 contests. As for Charleston, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
