After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sunlake, Pasco was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Central Bears 18-0. Considering the Pirates have won four matchups by more than ten runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Abi Grubbs made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Grubbs was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two doubles. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Shelby Stevanus and Morgan Montelongo did most of the damage at the plate: Stevanus went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and one run, while Montelongo went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
