The Ellis Railroaders will venture away from home to  square off against the Central Plains Oilers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Ellis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Ellis is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Tuesday. They took their  game  with ease, bagging  a  70-33 victory over Rawlins County. The  win continues a trend for the Railroaders in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now won nine in a row.

 Aiden Aschenbrenner was  his usual excellent self,  going 7-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 27  points and five  steals. He has become a key player for Ellis: the team is 4-2 when he posts  at  least  15 points, but 5-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaren Frickey, who  went 5-for-7  to rack up 13  points and five  boards.
 Ellis was working as a unit and  finished the game with 20  assists. That's the most  assists they've posted  since  the start of last season.
 Meanwhile, Central Plains entered their tilt with Kinsley on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Coyotes, posting  a  60-23 victory. The Oilers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight  matches by 20  points or more this season.
 Central Plains pushed their record up to 14-4 with the  win, which was their 12th straight  at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Ellis, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
