In what's become a running theme this season, the Myers Park Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Berry 79-35 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Myers Park sure is getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Sadiq White Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and two steals. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Bishop Boswell, who scored 14 points.
Several Cardinal players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yohannes Williams, who scored eight points. Zymiere Chester was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Myers Park pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Berry, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Myers Park will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against A.C. Reynolds at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. A.C. Reynolds knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Myers Park likes a good challenge. As for Berry, they will head out on the road to challenge Palisades at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Palisades is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.5 points per game.
