Griffith's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colton Strezo, who scored 11 points. Strezo continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Cameron Chandler was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Kankakee Valley had strong showings from Jeremiah Jones, who scored five points along with seven rebounds, and Camden Webster, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
The win got Griffith back to even at 5-5. As for Kankakee Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Griffith won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Highland at 5:30 p.m. on December 28, 2023. Highland is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51 points per game. Kankakee Valley will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Andrean at 5:35 p.m. on December 27, 2023.
