Westside hasn't had much luck against Heights recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolves will face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Westside's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-0 victory over Cesar E. Chavez. The Wolves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Dillyn White, who rushed for 145 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards. Gavin Allen was another major influence, as he rushed for 44 yards and ran in a TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Westside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Heights against Houston Math Science & Tech on Thursday as the team secured a 69-0 win. That looming 69-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.
Westside better focus on containing Kobe Miles and Phelan Powell as the pair were huge in Heights' win. Miles threw for 213 yards and five TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, while Powell rushed for 163 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Heights is 3-1 when Miles posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. Nelson Rodriguez did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 55 receiving yards.
Heights is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.8 points over those games. As for Westside, their record is now 2-7.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: White and Miles. White just won't slow down this season and has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 113 rushing yards per game. Miles has been a dominant force too and has thrown 22 touchdowns (and and only 4 picks) while averaging 182.1 passing yards per game.
Westside was taken down by Heights 51-0 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Miles, who threw for 120 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards and one score. Now that the Wolves know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
