David Bishop Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Fort Bend Austin got the W thanks in part to David Bishop playing the best football he has all season. Bishop rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 95 yards.
Fort Bend Austin's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. Bishop and Fort Bend Austin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fort Bend Travis at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Austin Carlisle Goes Supernova in Ridge Point Win
Ridge Point picked up their fourth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Austin Carlisle. Nobody could stop Carlisle as he threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 68 yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 63 yards.
If the past is any indication, Carlisle could be in store for another big game when he takes on Fort Bend Dulles on Thursday. Carlisle threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in September of 2023.
