The McClain Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a tough 50-27 defeat at the hands of Adena. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McClain has scored all season.
It was another big night for Joedy Ater, who scored 18 points along with three steals and three blocks for Adena. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas King, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
McClain bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Adena, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McClain will take on Clinton-Massie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton-Massie is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Adena's road trip will continue as they head out to face New Hope Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. One thing working in New Hope Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
