Prince Sohn was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 20 points along with 5 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of South Pointe's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremyah Russell, who scored 9 points.
Despite the loss, BASIS - Scottsdale still got an impressive performance from Blake Tropper, who scored 18 points. Aarush Thinakaran was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
South Pointe's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Pointe will square off against Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. BASIS - Scottsdale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Valley Athletes for Christ at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th.
