Mountain Range is 0-3 against Legend since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mountain Range Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Legend Titans at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Mountain Range focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday.
Mountain Range couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by Eaglecrest at home and fell 86-42. Mountain Range was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-19.
Landen Calabrese put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Helsel, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Legend didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Arapahoe on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory.
Legend's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seth Whitehead, who scored 12 points. Carson Flowers was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 3 steals.
Mountain Range's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Legend, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Mountain Range took a serious blow against Legend when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 80-41. Can Mountain Range avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
