Brush is 0-10 against Eaton since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Beetdiggers are taking a road trip to take on the Reds at 4:00 p.m. Brush is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Brush came up short against Berthoud and fell 14-11.

Landon Mesch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs while going 3-for-5. River Hodgeson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Eaton entered their tilt with Fort Morgan on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs, sneaking past 13-11. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Reds, who until this contest were averaging three runs allowed.

Eaton saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Nider, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Nider has posted since back in May of 2024. Brayden Legler was another, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Eaton's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Brush, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Brush has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Eaton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Brush might still be hurting after the 13-2 defeat they got from Eaton in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Beetdiggers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
