Emporia is 9-1 against the Wildcats since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Emporia Spartans will stay at home for another game and welcome the Hayden Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Emporia ended up a good deal behind the Blues and lost 48-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Emporia has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Hayden's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight defeat. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manhattan. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), Hayden still had to take the loss.
Emporia's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Hayden, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.
Emporia strolled past the Wildcats in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 58-42. Does Emporia have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
