Baseball Recap: Shroder Paideia Academy Find Success

After losing to Hughes the last time they met, Shroder Paideia Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Jaguars came out on top against the BIG RED by a score of 12-9 on Thursday.

Tremell Metz made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Metz was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Metz is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Carlito Houston was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, one run, and one double. Corey Moody was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Shroder Paideia Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.
