Carlsbad extended their winning streak to nine on Friday, bumping their season record up to 19-5 in the process. They blew past the Roswell Coyotes 7-1. The Cavemen/Cavegirls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

As for Roswell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly six runs.

For Roswell's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savino Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Coming up, Carlsbad will face off against Hobbs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavemen/Cavegirls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Roswell, they will challenge Clovis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
