St. Stanislaus waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the West Marion Trojans get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. This was payback for the Rock-a-Chaws, who suffered a 6-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

St. Stanislaus got a great performance from Jackson Orozco as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Orozco has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. Stanislaus' win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Wiley Mossy, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

St. Stanislaus' record now sits at 16-9. As for West Marion, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-15.

St. Stanislaus will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
