New Manna Christian has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Victory Christian Academy Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Micah Wagner and Gabriel Thompson.
New Manna Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They suffered a tough 71-46 loss at the hands of Union Grove Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points New Manna Christian has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six back in December of 2023. They walked away with an 84-76 victory over Southview Christian. Given Victory Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Southview Christian is ranked 539th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Victory Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Thompson, who scored 31 points. Thompson is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Lloyd Hampton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
New Manna Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Victory Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
