Herrin lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Waltonville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's   matchup.  At the plate, Herrin let  Carter McCree and  Jaxon Hudson run wild. McCree  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Hudson  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  Hudson a new career-high.
The  win  got Herrin back to even at 6-6. As for Waltonville,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Herrin will welcome Massac County  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Waltonville, they will be playing at home against Odin/Patoka/Sandoval  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. This will  be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
