The Woodland Wolfpack will be home for the holidays to greet the Arabia Mountain Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Woodland came up short against Carrollton and fell 74-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (65), Woodland still had to take the loss.
Mason Lewis put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 17 points. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Langston Jones, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Arabia Mountain's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 76-56 defeat to Tucker might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Arabia Mountain has scored all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Woodland and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Arabia Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Woodland beat Arabia Mountain 68-61 when the teams last played back in December of 2019. Does Woodland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Arabia Mountain turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
