The Seymour Panthers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Haskell Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Seymour sitting on four straight wins and Haskell on three.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Seymour on the road against Electra as the team secured a 44-6 win. The result was nothing new for Seymour, who have now won five games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Brayden Loyd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 438 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 76.3% of his passes. Loyd is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. David Charo was another key contributor, picking up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even though Archer City scored an imposing 33 points on Friday, Haskell still came out on top. Haskell slipped by Archer City 34-33. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Haskell was the better team in the second half.
Their wins bumped Seymour to 6-1 and Haskell to 3-4.
Seymour strolled past Haskell when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 16-0. Will Seymour repeat their success, or does Haskell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
