Hopewell got themselves on the board against West Charlotte on Friday, but West Charlotte never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won eight matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Hopewell's win was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Charlotte, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Hopewell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-6 win against Chambers on the 1st. As for West Charlotte, they will head out to take on Hough at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
