Tremont is 7-1 against Tri-Valley since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Turks will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Tremont is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
On Wednesday, Tremont was able to grind out a solid victory over Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, taking the game 4-1.

Maddie Feagin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Feagin wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Parn, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Tri-Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Bunnies by a score of 5-1.
Gretchen Wyant spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Molly Vandiver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Addie Phillips also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Tremont pushed their record up to 6-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-Valley, their record is now 10-2-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Tremont hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Tri-Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Tremont's way against Tri-Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Tremont made off with an 11-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Turks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
