Statesboro have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will take on South Effingham at home at 7:30 PM on Friday. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with six consecutive losses for Statesboro and three for South Effingham.
Statesboro were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Ware County two weeks ago. Statesboro suffered a grim 13-35 defeat to Ware County. Statesboro were down by 7-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, we expected South Effingham to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Ware County last Friday, and they did. South Effingham have to be aching after a bruising 6-35 defeat to Ware County. South Effingham were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-21.
