Alvin has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Dawson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvin will be strutting in after a win while Dawson will be coming in after a defeat.
On Wednesday, Alvin didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Alief Hastings, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory.
Meanwhile, Dawson unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 70-49 defeat at the hands of Shadow Creek. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Dawson has suffered since November 27, 2023.
Despite the defeat, Dawson got a solid performance out of Charles Anderson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Howard, who scored 11 points.
Alvin's victory ended a 20-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 9-16. As for Dawson, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7.
Alvin was dealt a bruising 87-22 defeat at the hands of Dawson in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Alvin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
