The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for American Prep WV in their matchups with Intermountain Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why American Prep WV lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nicole Tran. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That was a full 44.8% of American Prep WV's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Elaine Lunsford continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Intermountain Christian, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 17 rebounds. Lunsford has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Makenna Stoddard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
American Prep WV's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Intermountain Christian, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

As for Intermountain Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rowland Hall at 7:00 p.m. Rowland Hall is coming into the contest with eight straight defeats on the road, meaning Intermountain Christian will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
