Monocacy Valley - Chesapeake recap October 1, 2013
North Carroll extended the longest winning streak in Monocacy Valley - Chesapeake this week by beating Winters Mill, 30-20. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Westminster was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Owls triumphed over Manchester Valley 45-0.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when North Carroll takes on Liberty. As it stands, Matt Martello's team is in first, while the Lions are in fourth.
Liberty moved up to 126 from 152 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Monocacy Valley - Chesapeake. Jeff Kent's team was able to move up by beating Key 34-14.
