Rossview is 8-2 against Northeast since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Rossview duke it out with Northeast at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Rossview's victory against Springfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Rossview narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Springfield 2-1. Given Rossview's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Springfield are ranked 186th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Phillip Russell and Nicholas Highfill scored both of Rossview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Northeast put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Huntingdon with a sharp 8-2 victory. Considering Northeast have won five contests by more than three goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Northeast's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Rossview, they now have a winning record of 2-1-2.

Rossview took their victory against Northeast in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rossview since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
