Make it four blowout wins for the Philip Scotties this season. They blew past Dupree 66-36 at home. The victory was just what Philip needed coming off of a 48-14 loss in their prior game.
Philip found their leader in underclassman Drew Terkildsen, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Terkildsen has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kale Peterson, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Philip pushed their record up to 5-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.33 points. As for Dupree, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Philip will challenge Newell at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Newell is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Dupree, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Cheyenne-Eagle Butte focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday.
