Rootstown scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Southeast Pirates by a score of 57-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rovers have suffered since November 29th.

Rootstown is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for Southeast, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rootstown will host Crestwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson-Milton at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Southeast knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Jackson-Milton likes a good challenge.
