It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Flanagan Falcons can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 82-35 loss at the hands of the Firebirds. While losing is never fun, Flanagan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Doral Academy is ranked 20th).
Doral Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stephanie Vega, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Deleon, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Flanagan's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Doral Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
Flanagan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Doral Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
