The Biggersville Lions entered their tilt with the New Albany Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Biggersville took down New Albany 67-51 on Saturday. Biggersville pushed the score to 53-29 by the end of the third, a deficit New Albany cut but never quite recovered from.
New Albany lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kylan Lindsey, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Issac Gilbert was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Biggersville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for New Albany, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.
Biggersville will head out on the road to take on East Webster at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Webster is on a 11-game streak of home wins, Biggersville a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. New Albany will take on South Pontotoc at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (South Pontotoc is ranked 58th, while New Albany is ranked 80th).
